Is Mootion Storyteller free to use?

Yes, all users have free forever plan with 200 credits renewed each month. You can generate and enjoy more with paid plans.

What is the difference between "Generate from Prompt" and "Use my Content"?

  • Generate from prompt lets you start from simple and rough ideas, just type in your thoughts and AI will handle the rest to create stories for you;
  • If you have scripts or content already, Use my content helps you organize the story and AI will follow your content to design and generate visuals and motions for final output.

How does Mootion Storyteller generate videos?

Mootion leverages our advanced AI models(Text, Image, Video, 3D) together to create video content from scratch, so users tells the idea, and our AI crafts the cohesive and compelling stories for you.

What type of videos can I create on Mootion Storyteller?

Though Mootion can practically generate videos covering any topic, ratio for all mainstream content platforms, we suggest some proven categories for your reference:

What prompt should I use on Mootion Storyteller?

💡 Keep the prompt precise, concise, and describe the key message in detail.

Examples of good prompt( also in'surprise me section'):

  • Create a bedtime story for 5 years old
  • Introduce the life of Julius Caesar and his great achievements
  • 5 fun facts about milk and diary goods, end with "Follow me for more"
  • Create a story about an astronaut on a mission on Mars, facing the war with aliens

What is storyboard and scene?

A storyboard in Mootion illustrates all components for the whole story. You can edit and tweak your story in storyboard.

In Mootion storyteller, a storyboard is made of several scenes which can be edited in an intuitive and natural way(Add, Split, Merge, Delete).

One scene contains an image(video clips), corresponding narrations or dialogue.

What is pose reference when generating images?

A pose reference is a 3D pose generation environment which guides and controls how images are generated in one scene. You can use the interactive 3D space to pose your character, then AI will generate the image with precise pose inside.

Can I download videos created by Mootion Storyteller?

100% Yes and more than that. You can download videos directly from our platform, and optionally the whole story - including scripts, images, video clips can be downloaed as .zip file for 3rd party editing and compositing.

Can I personalize my videos created by Mootion Storyteller?

Absolutely! You can personalize your project, videos, styles and voiceovers. Our system automatically remembers and generates videos based on your preference.

  • Project - Aspect ratios, output languages, tones, visual styles
  • Setting - style of title, subtile, thumbnail, voiceover

Can we add music or SFX to the videos?

Not now, you can check our roadmap for the exp releasing date.

How can I post videos on platforms like Tiktok, YouTube etc.?

Mootion Storyteller generates all missing pieces for mainstream content platforms. You can simply copy the summary(description in YouTube), add generated hashtags with final videos, and one post done in a breeze.

When and why should I subscribe to Mootion Storyteller?

200 credits are there for all users when signed up. You can find your plan in subscription section.

Enjoy more credits (add more anytime) and premium features with paid plans.

How to cancel a subscription?

  1. Go to subscription.
  2. Click downgrade button on the free tier plan.

How do I change my payment method after subscribing?

Our billing services are handled through Stripe. Any billing or payments settings can be done in your Stripe environment, steps shown below:

  1. Log in to your stripe account;
  2. Change or delete your payments.

What should I do if my credit card has expired or I need to replace it?

Is commercial use supported? What’s licensing like?

Mootion grants a General Commercial License for all generated animations, allowing their use in commercial applications.

How many credits are consumed with each text-to-motion generation?

Generating text-to-motion consumes 2 credits per operation.

What should I do if I run out of credits? How can I purchase more credits?

To replenish your credits, please visit Subscription and choose a suitable paid plan. If you’re already a paying user and run out of credits within the month, you’ll need to wait until next month to receive new credits. Additional credit purchase options will be available soon.

I want to switch from monthly to annual billing. When will this change take effect?

Your new plan will take effect immediately.

The change will take effect after the current annual billing cycle ends.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can choose to downgrade to the free plan. Please note that the downgrade to the free plan will only take effect after the current billing cycle is completed.

How do I get started with Mootion Bot?

Please follow the steps outlined in ⁠🙌｜getting-started or watch the tutorial videos in #getting-started.

Can I use and render my own 3D character model?

The characters provided are already pre-defined right now. If you want to apply generated animations to your own models, you may need to retarget and render them in 3D software. The ability to upload your own models is on our product roadmap and will be available soon.

Can I integrate the generated animations into my own models?

Absolutely. Once you input the command and generate the content, we provide you with an FBX file that can be used in various 3D modeling software such as Blender, 3Ds Max, Maya, and more.

Can I make minor modifications to the generated animations or use a seed? Will this be supported in the future?

Currently, we don’t support editing generated animations within Discord. Support for seeds will be introduced in future updates. You can edit animations using the FBX file in 3D software, and we plan to offer more editing features in the upcoming months. Feel free to submit your requests in ⁠💡｜feature-request.

What is the maximum duration of the generated animations?

Similar to traditional 3D animation design, the length of the animation depends on the input prompt. Animations can range from approximately 1 second to up to 50 seconds.

Can I generate specific dance styles or sports movements? How should I input this prompt?

Absolutely. Mootion has optimized our AI Model for dance so you can generate dance moves, elegant or energetic. To specify a dance style, add a space in the prompt and then input “–style dance.” For –style parameter, we only support dance currently, and will introduce other styles like combat, sports, anime, and more immediately!

Why do the videos of two animations have different durations?

The duration varies since the AI generates animations are based on the input prompt. So the lengths for the 2 preview videos may be different.

What do “inplace true” and “inplace false” mean?

“Inplace” affects the position of the character during the animation. “Inplace True” will fix the animation in one place, while “Inplace False” will allow the character to move as per the original animation, such as running along a path.

I’m new to 3D. How can I use Mootion for?

Please don’t worry about your level of 3D knowledge. You can use the generated content for social media, marketing, educational purposes, and more. It empowers you to express your ideas in a more engaging 3D world. Additionally, you can refer to examples in the ⁠💙｜show-and-tell channel to better understand how to use Mootion effectively.

Can private generation be done?

Sure! Though adding the Mootion Bot to your own server is not currently supported, you can DM it to do private generation.

What is the ‘Creativity’ parameter? How is it used?

Creativity (cr) is an index which can enhance your creative space on Mootion. When inspiration is low, input a text prompt, set a creativity parameter between 0 and 1, and watch your generated content diverge in various degrees. No need to juggle multiple prompts—just one parameter is all you need for a creative exploration! Easily tweak your creativity level from 0 to 1↔:

  • Closer to 0 for a more focused output
  • Crank it up to 1 for that wild and creative flair

To start: input “ –creativity and number between 0 and 1” in the prompt section

How many credits will be consumed each generation for motion-to-video?

  • motion-to-video: 2 credits/time
  • long series motions: 4 credits/time
  • motion-to-video: 2 credits/sec

Each complete generation (motion+video) will consume no more than 12 credits

How do I join the program?

How to track the referred signup?

You will receive a unique affiliate link once your application is approved. You can track your referrals and their sign-ups through your dashboard.

Is there a minimum fee that I need to reach to get paid?

The minimum payout for Mootion affiliates is $20. Once your affiliate earnings reach this threshold, you will receive a payout on the 15th of each month, which will be sent to your PayPal account.

What payment methods does Mootion use to pay affiliates?

Mootion uses PayPal to process affiliate payouts. Make sure you have a valid PayPal account associated with your Mootion affiliate profile to receive your earnings.

How much commission will you earn?

In the first year, you will earn a 20% commission for every new subscribed user you successfully refer.

Can I advertise using my affiliate link?

Absolutely! However, you may not use your affiliate link in any paid media. This includes search engine ads, Facebook ads, or anything similar that would compete with Mootion’s marketing and cause confusion for potential customers. Abuse, gaming, and policy violations will result in having your account banned and any existing and future commissions forfeited.
