09/29/2024

Creating engaging AI videos involve more than just talking on camera and fringe multiple video clips. Top priorities are creativity, cohesiveness and precision on details. Here are some pro tips after I interviewed more than 100+ AI YouTubers and more than 2000 AI video creations. Practice makes perfect!

No.1 Do not drift from your niche

Focus on your niche, no matter if it is motivation, fun facts, life coaching, or popular science, history & literature. Keep creating AI videos under one topic so that your audience do not get confused.

No.2 Keep your video length consistent

Start from your niche, bucketing your channel into certain time constraints. Here are some of my best practices:

Keep all your content within a reasonable and similar length, which makes your content more credible and consistent with your audience viewing experience.

No.3 Organize your materials wisely by naming (Skip it if you use Mootion)

Just like any file management on your computer, organizing and managing for video creation is no joke and sometimes exhaust and drives creators crazy. SO, advice is to name all your video clips starting with channel name - video name - clip name. mp4. An extra small effort would definately free you out of the file missing horror.

Mootion automatically manages all your materials so that you can focus on content creation.

No.4 Precision on prompting in generation

This is unique in AI videos - instead of shoot then editing, you need prompts to generate first. Precision is key when instructing the AI. I'm gonna share our proven prompt structure for your reference generating more detailed and high quality content:

[Scene description, including settings, locations ] + [object description, including name, facial, actions] + [environment description] + [art style description] + [camera shot types] + [lighting & quality description] + [support keywords]

For consistent characters and scenes, be overly specific in your prompts. Utilize the names of specific people for character consistency, detailing attire, actions, facial expressions, location, lighting, and shot type in each prompt for a more consistent output.

No.5 Preview and confirm your text first

Text is the soul of content, make sure you have all your story and narrations cohesive and align with the topic before diving into visual creations.

No.6 Pay attention to storytelling

Craft your story dynamically and iteratively, do not hesitate to revise and tweak your content, considering how to engage the audience and following the length consistency in the channel.

No.7 Use trending effects & transitions

It makes all sense why there are certain effects and transitions popular on social media. Go pick those effects and transitions which fit your content more, considering the infancy of AI videos, well-placed transitions enhance the logical progression and serve as establishing shots, preventing choppiness.

No.8 Choose Voiceover AI

Not only the text and visuals covered by AI, narration which used to be time consuming and expensive, could now be empowered by AI. I bet you can bump into a lot of those voices everyday. Once you have the text ready, listen and choose a certain style of voiceover which could be rendered within 1 minute.

No.9 Add spice with AI music

Soundtracks like sound effects or music capture the attention of the audience instantly. Try paste your story into the AI music generator like Suno or Udio, more simply choose the AI music library from Mootion, the final content becomes even more cohesive and engaging from all senses.

No.10 Do not forget summary & hashtags

Besides the videos, you need more semantic information to be listed and recommended by the platform. The final trick here is to generate the summary and effective hashtags along with the final videos. Guess what, Mootion automates the process and you get them all packed for the publish.
